Day 1 - Lexington to Shreveport, LA

Reaching Alabama!

We made it! We left at 5:00am and arrived here on the west side of Shreveport around 6:00pm. Quite a drive! The boys were great and kept themselves occupied the whole way. Our first stop was Waffle House for a breakfast to go. Lunch was Cracker Barrel and dinner is to be determined. Then we will check out the hotel pool. We got lucky this night. Our hotel is only a yr old and very nice and very modern.

We enjoyed passing by the city of Atlanta, Talladega Speedway, the VERY swollen Mississippi river and many other cool sights. Tomorrow we will drive to Odessa, Texas and then the next day in to Las Cruces, NM. Then our major sightseeing will begin!
