Pictures from Day 10 & 11

Boat Tour in Gros Morne National Park

MOOSE!!!!!

Shallow Bay Motel - Cow Head, Newfoundland

Fire wood cut and stacked for the winter. These stacks are EVERYWHERE along the road. The locals told us everyone pays for a permit to cut a certain amt. They then cut it in the wilderness, bring it out using ski-dos and stack it for their winter heat. Look at how much it is!

Gardens like this are all along the road. There is ONE main road all the way up the northern peninsula. These gardens are all along it.

Walking in to the boat tour for the fjords in Gros Morne = AWESOME!

  1. *WOW* !!! So much catching up to do! It'll take me a day or two to even come up with a reasonable comment! Let's just go with "fabulous" for now. Glad all are well, and you're having a great time! Make all the memories that you can - it's still July in Cola-town here - and the sun sets ca. 8PM. Later . . .

  2. Awesome Pics once again....Maybe when I retire I'll get the chance to drive up again instead of flying. Y'all have seen a whole lot more of the island than we did when we flew. Kaitlyn is ready to go NOW ! Well keep the pictures and the posts coming. We look forward to seeing them. Tracy,Kaitlyn & I just got home from CofC, Kaitlyn was doing her visitation of the campus to see if that is where she might want to attend college. $$$$$$$ is all I can say. Be Safe and drive careful.
